Codart en Video Active winnen Best of the Web Award

Codart, het netwerk van kunstconservatoren, heeft een prestigieuze Best of the Web Award van 'Museums and the Web' gewonnen voor de beste Professional Site. Video Active ontving de publieksprijs voor hun online Europese Televisiegeschiedenis.

Each year a panel of museum professionals reviews the sites nominated for Best of the Web awards, and honours the best work in our field.

* Graphics did not overwhelm the mission of the site.
* Very comprehensive.
* useful even beyond the specific focus of art from the low countries

Een andere Nederlands initiatief, VideoActive, werd bekroond met de publieksprijs. VideoActive heeft  de Europese televisiegeschiedenis online gezet.

Het Amerikaanse Brooklyn Museum sleepte maar liefst twee prijzen in de wacht voor hun online collectie: binnen de categorie 'Best Overal' en binnen de categorie 'On-line Community or Service'. De site is zeer inspirerend: www.brooklynmuseum.com
